Cabin 1 “Lady of the River“
- Wood-burning fireplace. Please bring your own firewood and kindling from home or you can purchase it in Estes Park.
- Private Hot Springs® Hot Tub right on the deck outside of your cabin, which is enclosed with cedar fencing.
- Queen-size bed. Bathroom is just off the bedroom.
- Two Reclining Chairs with a lamp and end table in between. Carpeting was replaced in January 2021.
- Large Color TV with satellite.
- Steam iron and hair dryer for your convenience.
- Small Kitchen with a half fridge, microwave, hot plate, waffle maker, convection oven that is large enough to cook a frozen pizza, and even the coffee is provided!
- Privacy Deck with a fenced-in yard and your own BBQ grill.
- Pet Fee is $35.00 per pet, per stay.
- Outdoor ashtrays provided. Smoking is allowed outside ONLY per state law.

About Lady of the River
Tucked along the banks of the Big Thompson River, Lady of the River is the ideal escape for couples or solo travelers looking for a quiet, intimate retreat in the Colorado Rockies. This charming one-bedroom cabin sits on 16 peaceful acres, where the only soundtrack is the sound of the river flowing just outside your door and the occasional elk passing through the property.
Step inside and you will find a warm, cozy space with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Sink into one of the reclining chairs beside the wood-burning fireplace after a day of exploring, or head out to your fully private deck to soak in the hot tub under the Colorado stars. The cabin is small but thoughtfully appointed, with a queen-size bed, a comfortable full bathroom, a flat screen TV with satellite, and a small kitchen stocked with the essentials, including a microwave, hot plate, convection oven, and even complimentary coffee.
Outside, your private fenced yard and BBQ grill are ready for evenings at the cabin. The property is pet-friendly, making Lady of the River a favorite for couples who want to bring their four-legged travel companion along for the adventure. Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park is just four miles from the property, making Lady of the River one of the closest privately-owned cabin stays to the park entrance. Spend your days hiking over 350 miles of trails, spotting elk and bighorn sheep along Trail Ridge Road, or taking a sunrise walk around Bear Lake. The park is open year-round and is spectacular in every season.
Fishing the Big Thompson River
You do not have to go far to cast a line. The Big Thompson River runs directly through the Rustic River Cabins property, and fishing is available right here on-site. The river is a well-known spot for fly fishing and trout, with additional fishing access throughout the canyon and inside Rocky Mountain National Park.
Downtown Estes Park
Just four miles down the road, downtown Estes Park offers a charming mix of shops, restaurants, galleries, and local attractions. Browse the boutiques along Elkhorn Avenue, grab a meal at one of the local restaurants, or visit the Estes Park Aerial Tramway for sweeping views of the surrounding peaks. The famous Stanley Hotel, the inspiration for Stephen King’s The Shining, is also located in Estes Park and offers daily tours.

Is Lady of the River pet-friendly?
Yes! Lady of the River is pet-friendly. There is a $35.00 pet fee per pet, per stay. Dogs must be kept on a leash while on the property. Please note that this cabin has a maximum occupancy of two adults, and children ages zero to six are not permitted.
Is the hot tub private to this cabin?
Yes. The Hot Springs® hot tub is completely private to Lady of the River and is located on your own enclosed deck, surrounded by cedar fencing. It is not shared with other cabins on the property.
How far is Lady of the River from Rocky Mountain National Park?
Lady of the River is located in Drake, Colorado, approximately four miles from the Estes Park entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. The drive into the park takes about 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic.
How far is the cabin from downtown Estes Park?
Downtown Estes Park is approximately four miles from the cabin, about a 10-minute drive down the Big Thompson Canyon. You will have easy access to restaurants, shops, the Stanley Hotel, and all Estes Park attractions.
What is included in the kitchen?
The cabin includes a small kitchen with a half refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, and a convection oven large enough for a frozen pizza. Complimentary coffee is also provided. For full meal preparation, we recommend stocking up in Estes Park or Loveland before your arrival.
Can I have a fire in the fireplace?
Yes. Lady of the River features a wood-burning fireplace. Please bring your own firewood and kindling from home, or you can purchase firewood in Estes Park. Only wood fires are permitted, and fire safety guidelines must be followed at all times.
What are the check-in and check-out times?

Is smoking allowed at the cabin?
Smoking is allowed outside only, per Colorado state law. Outdoor ashtrays are provided on the deck. Smoking of any kind inside the cabin is strictly prohibited.
